Together we will look at your story, and the ways it impacts you today. As we do this, I’ll help you focus on your present moment experience (i.e., thoughts, emotions, body sensations, memories that come up, etc.), and I’ll shine a spotlight on your strengths. We’ll get to know the parts of you that have learned to cope well and the parts of you that need healing, and we’ll help these parts turn towards each other with kindness. When this happens, often an internal sense of connectedness emerges, and you begin to have a sense of security and safety within yourself.
Over time, as you learn to hold all of your parts with love and compassion, you’ll see some things change. Your mood may improve; anxiety may decrease. You'll see that you manage life's challenges better, and you are able to have more intimacy in your close relationships (including with yourself!).
